Native Shopify App

Opencals installs directly into your Shopify admin as an embedded app. Your team manages bookings from inside Shopify — same sidebar, same interface, no extra logins.

Find Opencals in the Shopify App Store, install it, and configure your services inside the embedded dashboard. Then add the booking widget to your storefront using the Shopify theme editor.

Bookings Become Shopify Orders

Every booking through the widget creates a Shopify order. Service bookings and product sales show up together in your Orders dashboard.

Payment runs through your own Shopify checkout, on the gateways you already accept — no separate payment processor to set up. Taxes, discount codes and revenue reporting stay Shopify's.

If you run both the Opencals storefront ({storename}.opencals.com) and a Shopify store, orders sync bidirectionally.

Product Sync

Shopify owns the money side of the listing: which variant is bookable, and what it costs. Opencals owns the booking logic — service details, staff, locations, schedules.

Change a variant's price in Shopify and the linked service picks it up automatically. Delete a variant or a product and the service that pointed at it is removed too. Service names, descriptions, durations and availability are edited in Opencals and are never overwritten by a Shopify product update.

Customer Sync

Booking an appointment creates or updates the customer record in Shopify. Booking history sits alongside purchase history in their profile.

Customers access upcoming and past appointments through the Shopify customer account extension — no separate login.

Booking Widget on Your Storefront

The Opencals booking widget sits natively on any Shopify page — product pages, a dedicated booking page, or a floating button — added through the theme editor as a theme app extension, with no Liquid to edit.

Its colours, fonts and custom CSS are set in the Opencals customization settings and applied to the block on your storefront, so it can be matched to your theme exactly rather than approximately.

You can configure service filtering (show all or filter by category), staff selection (let customers choose their preferred provider), and location display (show available locations per service).

Multi-Store Shopify Support
